Home Remedies for Sweaty Palms, Natural Remedies

Palmer Hyperhidrosis is the scientific term for sweaty palms. It is a condition that is suffered by most human beings. People hesitate in shaking hands with those who suffer from this problem and the situation becomes very embarrassing. Medical treatment involves shock-treatment known as Inotophoresis to treat the problem. So it is better to try out the home remedies for sweaty palms to solve the problem. You can use talcum powder if you suffer from mild sweaty hands. It is preferable to use a baby powder. But if your hands are too sweaty, then it is preferable not to use it as the powder will turn into cake and will make you feel awkward.

Of all the home remedies for sweaty palms it is very important to maintain a proper and well balanced diet. You have to stop eating broccoli, asparagus, white onion and oil rich foods. Increase the intake of foods that are rich in iodine as one of the main reasons behind excessive sweating is due to thyroid disorder. So, include eggs and fish in your diet as they are rich in iodine content. Use natural sea salt in your diet as it is a good source of iodine. Mayonnaise is a good source of iodine too.

Include zinc supplements in moderate quantity as it helps in reducing sweaty palms. Always remember that too much of zinc intake will not allow the body to receive copper. One of the essential home remedies for sweaty palms is drinking sage tea. It contains a good quantity of tannins that act as natural astringent. You can apply tea itself as it is rich in tannins. Leave it on your palm for 10-15 minutes and then rinse to get good results. Alcohol absorbs moisture and it can be used in curing sweaty palms. But always remember to use it in the right proportions.

One of the home remedies for sweaty palms is using baking soda by making a solution with water. All you have to do is fill a wash basin or a big bowl with water and add 1-2 cups of baking soda and mix it thoroughly. Then soak your hands in it for 20-30 minutes for 5-7 days and see the difference. Similarly you can make the solution with 1 cup of tomato juice and then soak and scrub your hands with it. This is an effective mode of getting relief from perspiration as you can use 2 cups of the tomato juice in a bucket full of water and get relief from excess sweat from your body.

You must remember to exfoliate your skin and that includes your palms. The skin on your palm is rougher than your body, but can be exfoliated. For this you have to use an exfoliating bar that moisturizes your hands along with exfoliating it. Abrasive cloth too helps in exfoliating. Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, you can take a bath for not more than 5 minutes in apple cider vinegar - one of the effective home remedies for sweaty palms.
