Home Remedies for Morning Sickness

Are you suffering from morning sickness? Though it's not a critical problem yet problematic for all. Morning sickness is an inevitable part of pregnancy. Nearly 60 percent of women experience nausea or morning sickness during pregnancy. It is more during the first three months of pregnancy, but could last till the later months too. However it is different from woman to woman. A pregnant woman must take care never to sleep on an empty stomach at night. She must have a protein rich diet before sleeping. It is a good idea to keep some snacks handy at night when she goes off to sleep. She might have a craving to eat something in the middle of the night.

Lemon is a fruit which can be considered as one of the effective home remedies for morning sickness. Keep fresh lemon juice or sliced lemon in your bedside and have it whenever you want. Your body temperature should always be under control and it is possible if you take plenty of water, fluid and various fruit juices. Make a mixture of vinegar and honey in equal quantity in a cup and have it at night daily. It is very important to keep your room neat and clean. You should be careful about not to stay in dark place. Getting sufficient sunlight is necessary while taking home remedies for morning sickness.

A mixture of lemon juice, curry leaves juice, and a teaspoon of honey is really an essential home remedies for morning sickness. You should drink this mixture 3-4 times daily. Make a tea with spearmint and drink it to cure morning sickness. Ginger is very important to prevent this problem. Boil some water with 2-3 pieces of fresh ginger until the total amount of water becomes half. Allow this mixture to cool and have it daily. For pregnant women it is quite tough to take it because of its strong taste. These home remedies for morning sickness should be taken according to the instructions.

If you are pregnant and have this particular problem then taking 2-3 oranges daily will be one of the best home remedies for morning sickness. During the months of pregnancy you will get positive results as orange is rich in vitamin C. Take some cooked rice and add 2-4 spoons of bael juice with it. Having this remedy two or three times daily will be helpful to prevent the problem of morning sickness. According to the doctors, ginger can give the desired results if you want to get quick solution from the home remedies for morning sickness.

Peppermint oil is also one of the useful home remedies for morning sickness. Boil 500 ml of water and drop this oil into water. Put this water in a container and keep it near your bed. The fragrance of it can be helpful to avoid morning sickness. Yoga, exercise and morning are very important to get rid of this problem. You should do meditation to keep your nerves in control. Do no hurry while eating food. Chew the food completely and properly. By taking all these home remedies for morning sickness you will not get any kind of bad effects in your body.

It is advisable to drink a lot of water and consume sufficient liquids during the day in the form of juices and soups. The foods or juices that cause acidity should be avoided. Whole grain breads should be eaten instead of white breads. The foods eaten should be high in carbohydrates. Snacks that lack nutritional value or are high in fats or greasy should be avoided.

It is important to eat small regular meals throughout the day rather than eat heavy meals at long intervals as they will be difficult to digest. Sniffing a fresh lemon peel in the morning can prevent morning sickness, and sucking a piece of peeled ginger is good to avoid nausea. Perfumes with strong odours should be avoided.

Loose clothes should be worn during pregnancy to provide maximum comfort. It is essential not to work for long hours and take short breaks or a nap in between work. The expectant mother should sleep in a clean and ventilated room and avoid stuffy and crowded places when she goes out of the house.

It is also a good idea to carry some home cooked food when going out of the house to avoid eating outside. The oldest home remedy for morning sickness suggested by the grannies of the house is to take ginger tea with honey in the morning. Drinking peppermint tea or raspberry tea is also good.

Mix limejuice, mint juice and sugar in equal quantity and take 2-3 times a day.

A little wheat germ can be added in warm milk and consumed one or two times during the day. This is an effective home remedy for morning sickness.

It is recommended to take a lot of calcium and Vitamin B during pregnancy. That is why women are encouraged to drink more milk and consume milk products.

Another good way of treating morning sickness is by taking the juice of about 25 curry leaves and mixing it to a little lime juice and honey. This can be taken 2-3 times a day.

If one feels comfortable, one can try to go out and inhale fresh air in the morning. This helps in reducing morning sickness in some women.

Each woman's body type is different from another and each pregnancy is different from another so one can choose the home remedy for morning sickness that suits her best.
